Есть у меня привычка - откладывать самые "сладкие" книжки на десерт... Но сейчас время пришло. И я читаю Тома Кленси, автора, которого мечтал прочитать еще в пионерском детстве, когда услышал, что есть такой антисоветский автор, которого по поводу романов консультируют в Пентагоне и Белом Доме (речь шла о "Красном Шторме" и, соответственно, "Красном Октябре"). И меня прет безумно, я давно столько удовольствия от художественной книги не получал. Написано так, что постоянно приходится прерывать чтение и обращаться к справочникам, атласам и документальным книгам. Так вот, оказывается, название первой книги о Джеке Райане, "Игры Патриотов"заимствовано  из одноименной баллады ирландских повстанцев

   I think of those traitors who bargained and sold
   And I wish that my rifle had given the same
   To those Quislings who sold out the patriot game.

Насколько я помню, он в одной из книг, писал о террористах захвативших пассажирский самолет в США и направивших его туда где был американский президент, причем это было лет так за 5 до 11.09
